2. What we collect and why
2.1 When you purchase access
- Identity & contact: email address and billing details collected by Stripe at checkout.
- Licence record: we store a record tied to your licence key (including email, Stripe identifiers, and access status) on our infrastructure (e.g. Vercel Blob) to deliver and support your purchase.
- Legal basis: performance of a contract and, where applicable, legitimate interests in fraud prevention and accounting.
2.2 When you log in
- Licence key and session token (JWT) to authenticate you.
- IP address to enforce our per-licence device limit and protect against abuse.
- Legal basis: contract; legitimate interests in security and misuse prevention.
2.3 Anthropic API key (paid course)
- If you choose to save an API key for AI code review, we store it encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with our server-side key; we use it only to call Anthropic’s API on your behalf. We do not display your secret key back to the browser.
- Legal basis: contract (providing the feature you asked for).
2.4 Free Module preview
- If you use the free preview with your own Anthropic key, that key may be kept in your browser and sent to our preview proxy only to forward requests to Anthropic — we do not store that preview key on our servers.
- Legal basis: contract / consent for the optional feature, depending on how you interact with the banner and controls.
2.5 Email
- Transactional email (e.g. licence delivery) via Brevo (or successor ESP) to the address you provided at checkout or recovery.
- Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests in delivering the service.
2.6 Technical & security logs
- Our hosting provider (e.g. Vercel) may process IP addresses, timestamps, and request metadata for security and reliability.
- Legal basis: legitimate interests in operating a secure service.
2.7 Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)
- We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) with measurement ID
G-YZR7T4SP5E to understand traffic and usage (e.g. page views, coarse geography, device category). Google processes data under its terms as a processor/analytics provider — see Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Legal basis: legitimate interests in measuring and improving our site and conversion journeys; you can use browser settings, opt-out tools, or extensions to limit analytics.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use minimal storage in the browser for sessions, progress, and consent, and third-party scripts as described in our Cookie Policy (including Google Analytics 4). We do not run third-party advertising retargeting pixels on this site by default.
4. International transfers
Some processors (e.g. Stripe, Anthropic, Vercel, Brevo, Google) may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK/EU standard contractual clauses or processor terms that incorporate equivalent protections.
5. Retention
We keep purchase and licence records for as long as needed to provide access, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. Session tokens expire after the period stated in the product (e.g. 24 hours). You may ask us to delete or restrict processing where applicable law allows.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO). Contact privacy@rondanini.com to exercise rights.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
